Perhaps the most sobering type of realization that a person can have is the need for improving his or her self through a process known as personal growth. While there are different approaches and different formulas for success and riches, the principals involved remain the same in all.
Being open to change and ready to face the unknown are two crucial aspects of any program that leads to self-improvement and personal growth. For many the prospect of change is exciting, but only some can really appreciate and take upon themselves the effort, overcome the challenges and take the actions necessary to bring about change that is profound and lasting.
The prospect of letting go of old habits, old perceptions and other, undesirable, personal traits may be scary for some and will require an intense re-conditioning, while others embrace all the above easily and gracefully.
To achieve success in any aspect of life, one must be willing to redo that which did not work in the past. It is by learning to look at the same thing from a different perspective; changing the way you were conditioned to think and evaluate situations that any meaningful change can come to life.

People in general are strong and resilient to certain levels of stress, in fact some stress can be healthy and motivating. That deadline for the project can push you to work the extra hour to complete it. That success feels good.
Let's look at when stress isn't healthy, for example bullying in the workplace, belittling from management, staff cutbacks, financial cutbacks, traumatic events to name a few. These are just a few of the underlying causes of chronic stress that is unhealthy and creates negative work environments.
Studies and statistics say that 58% of the work force feel overworked and 46% are stressed? One in four people leave a job due to stress. Workplace stress in the States costs an average 26 billion in medical fees and $95 billion in lost productivity
Businesses and Corporations spend millions of dollars on Health and Safety Training, with little feedback and participation from employees. It's needed, it's required, it's mandated, and it's boring. Workplaces are becoming safer because of the training and the mandates. Employees are experiencing fewer serious injuries on the job. So why is there still an issue of negativity and stress in the workplace?

When we want to achieve a specific objective in life, whether it's to start a business, become a certain sort of person, improve our health, increase our confidence, one of the ways we can do this is to look at setting a goal.
Often, however, the goals we set ourselves aren't achieved. And there could be numerous factors that contribute to this, one of which could be that your goal wasn't realistic given who and where you are in your life right now.
We need to set bigger and bigger goals if we're to succeed in life and create the life we want. However, we also need to look at how we're going to get from here to there. If our goal is beyond what we see as being realistic, we risk dismissing it before we've event started to work towards it.
A popular model for goal establishment and achievement is the SMART approach. The 'R' of the SMART model stands for 'Realistic'. The others, as you may well know, stand for specific, measurable, achievable and time delimited.
But how do we know whether a goal is realistic or not? Perhaps we need to have a look at our true M.O.T.I.V.E. for achieving a particular goal, and see how realistic that goal really is. Five useful areas to question may well be the following:

Everyone wants to achieve the highest level of success. However, reaching that desirable level of success is not as easy as most of us perceive. To be successful, you have to sacrifice and forego majority of life's pleasures. Below is a list of seven guaranteed ways to be successful in life.
1. Do what you love
Unfortunately, most of us end up settling for jobs or careers that do not offer maximum satisfaction. Put simply, it is important to understand your passion and pursue it with all your energy and resources. The greatest regret held by a majority of the elderly is settling for what they did not love. To avoid having regrets on most of your early life decisions, be sure to pursue your passion. Doing what you love will ensure you remain passionate and highly motivated in your day to day activities regardless of the income. Be sure to discover your true purpose and work hard to achieve your goals.
2. Identify with a successful individual
As you look to achieve your dreams and initially set goals, ensure you remember that success has no secret recipe. It is advisable to identify with a successful person in your field of interest, and do whatever your mentor does to achieve his or her level of success. Once you have a role model or a mentor you associate with, it becomes easier to emulate the positive traits while learning from your mentor`s mistakes. Pick up the positive habits and ensure you avoid the mistakes made by your role model. By emulating a successful person, you increase your chances of succeeding exponentially.

Habitually, life is a grind, don't you think? Ask your friends, "Why do you go to work everyday?" Nine out of ten of them will probably say, "Because everyone else does." How about that for inspiration? It's that painful attitude that we find ourselves subjected to every living day. Therefore, you could ask me, "What makes you think that I can break free from the bonds of conformity?" And I would answer, "Because you can. It's a choice; as your attitude is a choice and not a feeling."
So you wake up this morning still thinking about last night's argument you had with your spouse about the pile of debt you have collectively constructed. You swing your feet off the couch only to feel the cold remnants of the dog relieving his bladder in the middle of the night because you were too depressed to let him out. You ooze into the bathroom to rinse off and take the obligatory shower and there stands your counter-part. With the argument still lingering in the air you both choose to avoid the topic by not speaking at all.
How frustrating can this be since your son has the biggest game of the season tonight and your daughter's performance at her dance recital this evening will make or break her scholarship opportunity. You have a mountain of responsibility riding on a positive attitude today, but your ghastly experience of last night still lingers like a leach; slowly draining your life's energy one little suck at a time. How do you let go? How do you strap on a positive attitude?
Here is a short process that you can put to work right now to brighten you life...for at least a moment. You decide whether to change your life forever. It just takes a little courage.

Every day has the same number of hours, every week has the same number of days, and every month has the same number of weeks. Why then are some people so much more productive than others? The answer is time management. Time management is a system of structuring your day so that you have a plan for all of the work that needs to be completed.
Some people just can't do it right, and they're usually making one of the 5 major mistakes of time management.
Mistake #1 - Setting Unrealistic Goals
A lot of people set their time management goals by creating a long list of items that need to be taken care of, a 'to-do- list of sorts. This works in many situations, but you have to be careful not to make it unrealistic. Setting too many goals or unrealistic goals can impede the progress of the other items on the list.
When you set up a schedule, take a step back and think about whether you're not setting your goals a little too high.

Everyone wants to be happy, but not everyone is actually committed in doing what it takes to become happy. A real and honest commitment with yourself requires that you master the proper attitudes and actions to create happiness. Of course it involves careful study and practice. When you want to make a commitment simply saying you will do it will not suffice. If you want to learn to ride a bike the first step is to buy a bike. Imagine someone claims that it is important for him to learn to ride a bike but when you ask him if he bought a bike he says no. It shows that the person is not serious about learning how to ride a bike.
Just like making a commitment to learn how to ride a bike is up to the person, so to happiness. A person's commitment to trying to master happiness is all up to you. You can create it or destroy it all in a matter of moments if you choose not to apply happiness to your life. Your intense commitment to master happiness will enable you to experience more happiness for yourself and for the many people that surround you. They will be able to benefit from your happiness and they will be able to benefit from the way to interact from a place of joy. Even if you feel you don't deserve to be happy, or you feel that your life is too damaged to be happy you need to remind yourself that you were born and therefor you have an automatic birthright to happiness. You don't need to be considered special by any other person to have a right to be happy.

Stress affects one in five of the working population from the shop floor to the board room. 105 million days are lost every year; costing British employers £1.24 billion per annum.
(Source: Health & Safety Executive).
Stress is something that seems to easily rear its head in the modern working world.
Wouldn't it be fantastic to deal with stress more effectively?
Here we give you 10 simple tips to dealing with, and overcoming, stress in the workplace.
We tend to think of stress as a phenomenon of the modern working environment, but it might surprise you to know that people have been studying stress for nearly a century. It was Walter Cannon way back in 1932 who introduced the "Fight or Flight" theory
The strange thing about stress is that we all experience it at different times but we find it very hard to articulate exactly what it is.
The most commonly accepted definition of stress comes from the late Richard S Lazarus, an eminent psychologist. In his book "Psychological stress and the coping process" published in 1966 he states that "stress is a condition or feeling experienced when a person perceives that demands exceed the personal and social resources the individual is able to mobilize."

A great life doesn't happen by accident. A great life is the result of allocating your time, energy, thoughts, and hard work towards what you want your life to be. A great life is the result of using the 24/7 you get in a creative and thoughtful way, instead of just what comes next. Customize these "secrets" to fit your own needs and style, and start creating your own great life today!
1. S - Simplify.
A great life is the result of simplifying your life. People often misinterpret what simplify means. It's not a way to remove work from your life. When you focus on simplifying your life, you free up energy and time for the work that you enjoy and the purpose for which you are here. In order to create a great life, you will have to make room for it in yours first.
2. E - Effort.
A great life is the result of your best effort. Creating a great life requires that you make some adjustments. It may mean re-evaluating how you spend your time, or choosing to spend your money in a different way. It may mean looking for new ways to spend your energy that coincide with your particular definition of a great life. Life will reward your best effort.
3. C - Create Priorities.
A great life is the result of creating priorities. It's easy to spend your days just responding to the next thing that gets your attention, instead of intentionally using the time, energy and money you have in a way that's important to you. Focus on removing the obstacles that get in the way of you making sure you are honoring your priorities.

Effective action plans aren't born overnight and they are never solidified in stone. There is always room to tweak the way you approach the achievement of your personal plans for the future. But, you need a place to start, which can be found below through a series of four goal setting strategies:
1) Set Specific Goals
Stating your goal in rather specific terms and conditions and you will better accept the journey needed to achieve the things you want in life. When setting goals, the process can be described as creating a map of your life. Similar to reading a road map to a desired vacation destination, you will twist and turn about a series of streets and highways in order to reach your intended location.
Setting lifetime goals is no different. As you set your goals, you will twist and turn throughout life to meet deadlines, achieve personal milestones and obtain knowledge that will bring you closer to the location in life you wish to enjoy. If you don't specify your goal, it makes it harder to pinpoint the twists and turns you need to make towards success and achievement. When you know what it takes to make your personal plans a reality, you will get there a lot faster, as well as effectively.
So, if you plan to buy a house in California, you simply cannot set the goal, " move to California" as a specific goal. There are so many components to this desire that you have to take notice of. Where in California do you want to live? How much will it cost? How much do you have to save before you can scan the real estate market? What is the cost of living in the state? Will you be able to find sufficient work there?
2) Backwards Thinking
Many individuals have found better success when they plan the achievement of their goals in a backwards manner. This is a great way to keep you on track towards moving forward. To get a better handle on this concept, let's say you wish to return to school and complete your bachelor's degree.
Would it be possible for you to start today? The answer is no. You have to apply to a school and get accepted before you can begin your studies. Would applying to a bachelor's program be possible today? Once again, the answer is no, unless you have your eyes set on one or more schools. Could you make a decision today? No, there should be an ample amount of research conducted before coming to a conclusion.

Here are 3 powerful steps you can take to free yourself from frustration and to start enjoying the good life so many are enjoying right now:
1) Know "where you are." Have you ever been lost in a residential area and no one was around to ask for directions? Now if you are somewhat familiar with the area, it's easy to just turn around here and there and find your way back. But the worst part about being lost is when we are lost and we haven't a clue where we are.
So, where exactly are you on your journey now? Do you know exactly how much money you owe? And how many assets you have? What are your strengths? And what are your weaknesses? Here's a good exercise to help you know "where you are":
Draw a map of your life and make every square a city. Name each square with an aspect of your life. One city can be your family, friends, knowledge of your field, spirituality, work, charity, financial, etc. Then rate each city from one to ten. Ten means you are doing extremely well, and one means it needs immediate help.
What I just shared with you is like having a balance sheet for your life. Put all your weaknesses on one side and your strengths on the other side. Put your strengths to work and strengthen your weaknesses. You can read more books, go back to school or find a mentor. Perhaps you can learn 50 to 100 power words this year in order to get a verbal advantage. Whatever you do, keep in mind that a better year begins with a better you. The readers of No Condition is Permanent know about this.

"Those people who think they can do something and those who think they can't are both right." - Henry Ford
What ever the mind can conceive and believe the mind can achieve.
Here are the basic principles and steppingstones to change your life.
The starting point to all success is having a positive attitude.
Your attitude is going to play a large part in becoming successful in whatever you wish to achieve. It's the passion in your life that is necessary to achieve your dreams.
When you're at work and someone else gets a promotion that you felt like you deserved or somebody gets a new car are you happy for them or does it make you jealous? How often do you wish harmful thoughts to people around you? Do you lust for and covet the material possessions of others? These are signs of a negative personality and require extreme change.
"If we keep doing what we're doing, we're going to keep getting what we're getting". - Stephen Covey
Mary is very lonely and often spends most of her time at home alone. Friends and family suggest that she should get out more often to meet other people. Mary feels this is useless. I have tried to meet new people. No one really could like me. People are all mean and want something from me.
These thoughts have the power to control your environment and your emotions. Thinking negative thoughts about certain situation will change the way we look at certain things. Soon you will see that if you can change the way you look at certain things (in a negative way) the things around you will soon change into a positive way.

Choose to be Happy
Happiness is a choice. You can choose to be happy.
Make Time for Yourself
Too many things to do? Not enough time? Stop. You need a break. Now. At a minimum take a minute, and do "nothing". Look out the window, daydream, think of something luxurious, think of something good. For yourself. This important little exercise can refresh you and helps to clear your mind.
Take a Breath
Take a deep breath, hold it, then let it out. Now do it again. This is an excellent way to reduce tension and stress and only takes a few moments. Do this several times throughout the day. Don't forget to breathe!
A simple act of helping someone can make you feel good about yourself. It doesn't have to be a major undertaking. A smile, a simple compliment, a kind word, telling someone you appreciate them is often all it takes.
Take a Hike
Regular exercise is very beneficial to your health and, next to swimming, walking is the single best exercise you can do. It's easy and requires little or no equipment. Take a brisk walk for 30 minutes. Every day. This is an excellent way to build stamina, tone muscles and maybe even shed a few of those extra pounds along the way.

Attack and conquer deadly killer stress.
In the 14 years of teaching relaxation/meditation most people have admitted that stress is an issue they have ignored.
You ignore stress because it does not attack you like a big bang. Stress gradually creeps up on you like a can of worms and only becomes evident when the "worms" of aches and pains in your body become unbearable or exposed.
You can attack killer stress using 3 basic rules.
Step #1 You need to start your day in a stress free natural state. A stress free natural state means that your cells have recharge and you are experiencing a wonderful flow of energy. A stress free state does not include coffee, alcohol, smoking or pain killers in order to experience relaxation. A natural stress free state is having the awesome feeling of relaxation by habitually practicing to relax. This practice also helps you conquer killer stress.
You can use mantras, guided meditation, affirmations, soothing music or anchoring. The purpose of the natural stress free state is to prepare the mind and body for the onslaught of stress attacks that you will be faced with during the day. Relaxation soothes the soul (especially in these busy times) and it helps you brace the fall of nerve-shattering killer stress.

You wake up in a positive mood and feeling great about how everything is going in your day. You feel excited and happy what today has to bring. You see the best out of every situation. You have a very positive outlook on life and enjoy life to the fullest. Then you speak to someone who is having a negative outlook and is draining you of your positive energy. They are having an awful day or always sees the negative in everything they see or do and bringing you down. Being around pessimistic people can impact you in a negative way which can lead you to feeling frustrated or leading you down the path of misery yourself.
Even though it is challenging to stay upbeat around negative situations, with the right mental tools you can still keep positive no matter who and what you are faced with these 7 great ways to stay positive around negative people will keep that smile on your face.
1. Don't take it personally.
What is being said to you is being said in the heat of that moment and what they feel at that time is maybe not what they would feel after or on reflection. The other person maybe having a bad day or week and you may have just got caught in that moment that they express themselves in how they feel. You maybe unaware of this and it's good to not take every word or action personally.
2. Create a bubble.
A good tool to use if someone raises their voice or comes out with a range of emotions about their day, is make a bubble around yourself to protect you. By creating your imaginary bubble you are still listening but creating a protection around you to not let their emotions or thoughts get through to you on a subconscious level. It also allows you to distance yourself from their emotion. Which leads you to not taking anything what they say personally.

Experiencing work overload? Trust me you are not alone. A lot of people get way in over their head trying to balance work, friends, and family. You must organize your tasks in a way that you can be the most productive. This also helps performance and reduces stress. Managing time is something that you must develop. Because everyone lives their own life, it will be a different process for each person. It is all a matter of finding what works best for you.
Here are a few different options that I have put together in order to help you get started.
Scheduling- Start to carry around a planner or notebook with you to list your tasks. These days all phones have a notepad or app of some sort. Use them as your day goes on and things come to mind. You can even start each day with a "To Do" list so you can try to map out your day accordingly. Make sure you are being realistic with what you can accomplish.
Early Start- Early risers are those who prosper. You must maximize your day when opportunities and resources are present to get things done. Getting up early allows you to plan with a clear head before you get going.
Deadlines- Once you find tasks or projects then set a deadline in order to get them completed. The deadline should be ahead of when the task needs to be done so you can have some time to adjust if necessary. Make sure you challenge yourself to stick with the set deadline and get it accomplished.
Prioritize- When you start making lists of tasks, make sure you put the important tasks first. It should go from most urgent to least urgent. A lot of time can be spent on unimportant tasks and that should be eliminated. These tasks can run over into the next day if necessary. Focus on the significant tasks first.

Most of us have heard the saying: The optimist sees the glass half full, while the pessimist sees it half-empty. In its simplest terms, positive thinking is optimism and negative thinking is pessimism. It is an attitude towards life, yourself and particular predicaments and events in life.
Positive thinkers quickly zone in on the positive side of even the darkest moments in their lives, and often see those predicaments as opportunities for growth and learning. Positive thinkers are resilient and able to deal with stressful situations in productive ways.
"Wherever you go, no matter what the weather, always bring your own sunshine."- Anthony J. D'Angelo
Becoming a positive thinker is not necessarily something that will happen overnight. Depending on the severity of the negativity, it can take time to make appropriate changes.
The practice of positive thinking, and making it a character trait rather than a one-time thing, takes effort, patience, and time. If optimism is not natural to you, there are ways to turn it around.
Work towards combating the negativity you identified and maintaining an optimistic nature and use these steps as tools in the process.

I often have people say I am always positive, like I was born with it or it's just part of my personality. But what you should know is that being positive is a choice - a weekly choice, a daily choice and an hourly choice. Through the journey of personal development, remembering that we always have a choice has been a game changer. Every moment I choose to be positive, feel positive or see the positive and the exciting thing is, if you're a human and have a heartbeat, you have a choice too!
I've put together these five ways you can feel more positive in ten short minutes and change your attitude for the rest of the day:
2. Feed your soul good news
3. Make a to-do list
4. Walk outside
1. Have an attitude of gratitude
You may have heard of it, but a grateful heart can't be an unhappy heart. Grab a piece of paper and scribble down 3-5 things you are grateful for right now. Whether it's your heart that beats without you telling it to, the colours of the sunset or the fact that coconut chocolate exists - whatever it is for you, write it down NOW.

Stop trying to be perfect: You already are. Yes, each one of us is a work in progress, but that work is perfect in its state of evolution. When you are driven by perfection, you are unable to appreciate who you already are. Try instead to look at what is right about you.
Stop Trying to Impress Others: The people who want to be impressed (in the way I am talking about here) are not worth your time. The people who will judge you without knowing you or based on some criteria that are not even important to you are just not your people. The people who matter will think you are amazing. Pay more attention to them.
Stop Trying to Be Someone Else: If you are comparing yourself to someone who has different talents than you do or if you think that you should be doing things a different way than is natural for you, instead start to appreciate how you do things and what your talents are.
Find What You Love: When you let yourself be yourself, you will naturally be drawn to what you love. But, what you love also shows you something about who you are. If you don't know what you love, experiment. If you like it, try doing it again and see if it grows into something.
Give Yourself Permission to Do What You Love: Once you find the things you love, do them a lot. The more that you do what you love, the happier and the more satisfied you will be with your life. If you know what you love but you are not doing it, get the support you need to give yourself permission to be happy.

What actions should I take to manifest using the Law of Attraction?
The answer to this question is within you. Only you know your life and the path you are taking. Only you know where you want to be in life... what the difference is between where you are now and where you want to be. Only you have the information necessary to plan how to get "from here to there." Only you have the strength to execute the plan once you've made one.
Where, oh Where, Is this Information?
There are a few places within you that hold the answer to the question of action:
- Your conscious mind,
- Your subconscious mind, and
- Your intuition / instinct

How you use your time is just one of the variables to success. I'm not talking about the passage of time because time just is. It's what you do with the time that you have that matters. One of the secrets to success is knowing how much time to spend on the right things at the right time in the right order to get the results you want in your life.
We have so many distractions these days that it's so easy to be swayed off course. So how do you know when you're using your time effectively and when you're not?
1. Get the Balance Right
It's all about balance. If you feel you're working too slowly, how can you speed up such that you're still fully present with the task at hand, you're minimising errors and you're in that alpha brainwave state (where you're fully absorbed in what you're doing)? If work is coming in at a faster pace than your working pace you know you need to reduce the time you're spending on tasks or increase your pace.
If you're rushing around in a state of unhealthy stress (yes there is healthy stress... it's called moderate pressure!) what do you need to do to slow down and bring a sense of calmness and balance back into your being?
If you're being drawn away from what you're doing by social media and time is just passing you by, what strategies and stops do you need to put in place to ensure that you minimise those distractions? It's all about finding that fine line between speed and pace, between stress and pressure, between distraction and taking a break.

There are many people who work very hard all their lives and get very little worthwhile reward while others seem to attract success at whatever they do.
It is frustrating but there can be good reason in that the more successful individual has more than likely set up plans, he knows where he wants to be and knows what he needs to achieve it,
Entrepreneurs... business people and those willing to break boundaries and become successful in what they do have to deal with many obstacles.
There are challenges that must be faced and dealt with and not least of all dealing with negativity and rejection is part of being successful and innovative.
Developing the right mindset can be the key to driving you forward in your own personal journey to success.
Nelson Mandela once said " There can be no passion in playing small- in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living"
So what is holding you Back?

How would it be if you awoke every day feeling refreshed and confident about the day ahead, with enough energy and resilience in reserve to tackle whatever might be thrown your way? Yes, unexpected challenges crop up from time to time but how would it be, if in the main, you knew yourself well enough to be able to manage stress, cope well and have some time for yourself, including breaks for those important people and things in your life?
In a busy life we often focus on work, letting home, friends and outside interests take care of themselves. But often personal areas will stay quiet, gently fading into the background, not wanting to force us to choose or add to our stress. At some point the realisation hits us. Friends and family don't include us anymore. They are living their lives without us. It may take a while for us to notice, but it's not an uncommon situation.
Some stress is good for us. It keeps us on our toes, helps us think outside the box, come up with new ideas, deliver more than we thought we could. But continual stress is counter-productive and can cause many issues and ailments over time. There are a documented 360 physical symptoms of stress and you may be working your way through them all!
